Competition Prizes
Substantial prize money given out in TiEQuest has been possible due to the generous contributions and support of our sponsors, who are supporters of entrepreneurship. TiE Toronto gratefully acknowledges the support of all sponsors. The composition and distribution of cash and/or in-kind prizes are subject to change every year and is at the full discretion of TiE Toronto to adjust as they see fit.TiEQuest 2013 provided following prizes:

1. TiEQuest Winner Prize
  • $50,000 in cash
  • $30,000 of in-kind services from various sponsors allocated as follows:
    • $10,000 worth of services from MaRS. The services will include (a) Advisory Services, (b) Market Intelligence through partnerships with premium providers and (c) Conference facilities in the MaRS Collaboration Centre for 10 business days within a six-month period of time.
    • $5,000 of legal services from Ridout & Maybee LLP
    • $5,000 of advisory, tax and accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
    • $1,000 worth of legal services at 50% posted rates from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP

2. TiEQuest Second Place Winner
  • $25,000 in cash
  • $27,500 of in-kind services from the sponsors allocated as follows:
    • $7,500 worth of services from MaRS. The services will include (a) Advisory Services, (b) Market Intelligence through partnerships with premium providers.
    • $5,000 of legal services from Ridout & Maybee LLP
    • $5,000 worth of tax, advisory and accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
    • $10,000 worth of legal services at 50% posted rates from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP

3. TiEQuest Third Place Winner
  • $17,500 of in-kind services from the sponsors allocated as follows:

4. TiE Institute Award - presented to the best team who attended the TiE Institute"s (www.tieinstitute.org) entrepreneur education program in the current year.
